Let’s us learn how to use excel data and pivot tables to create beautiful and dynamic charts!

Step 1
Select your data, go to Insert Menu, then select pivot Chart
Step 2
Drag and drop your categories, series and values fields, from the right-side pane. This will start populating the chart and its reference pivot table.


Step 3
While selecting the chart or its pivot table, navigate to Pivot Table Analyze Menu. Under Calculations group, choose Fields, Items & Sets then Calculated Field…
This will give you options to add custom fields calculated from existing fields on the original pivot table/chart.
Step 4
This is what you will have.
You can customize the chart like any other, by clicking the “+” sign and change options.
One thing, the fields and filter buttons make our chart look mechanical.


Step 5
Select the chart and navigate to PivotChart Analyze menu, then under Show/Hide menu group click on Field Buttons
There you will find options to hide or show any field button and make your chart look attractive.
